Good news!
Earlier this month, poor Adele came down with a tight case of laryngitis and was constrained to scratch her North American tour to rest. We live a lot of you fans were devastated - we felt your pain - but the full word is that Adele is getting better everyday. She took to her website this morn to update her devoted fans on her shape and hope that she'll be binding on tour as shortly as she can.
She writes:
Hello! As Im sure most of you live i had to cancel over half of my US go a couple weeks back. it was a devastating decision to make, but i actually had no choice. i had to make my voice 2 weeks rest or risk permanent damage. Im so so sorry. we are in the eye of rescheduling it all and i will see you there when i return. once all the new dates are in place ill let you know straight away! i was having the better time ever on tour, i enjoyed the shows so often and met so many amazing people and got to meet with the better artists Ive ever played along side with, and i really am gutted to be back before its finished. thank you though to everyone who came to the shows i was capable to do! Im at home now, watching box sets and sort things out into neat piles and resting. i havent been capable to prepare for about 3 months cause Ive been on the route so Im getting back into that. Ive become preoccupied with beyonces i am sasha fierce tour dvd and 30 rock, and Ive also started uploading over 1000 cds to my itunes! long but satisfying! i cant expect to be capable to talk again, Im bored stiff. ive had a train up and im on the mend, i still want to make it easy and rest but things are looking up. i havent been told to not whistle or talk for a month, i have given up smoking again! and also im not having singing lessons. i got better before and im getting better this time, and i will do everything i can to make sure nothing like this happens again! im gonna be on level in london in just under 2 weeks but its a storm i think!? xx
Well, at least something good came out of all of this: NO MORE SMOKING! Hooray!
It's such a yucky habit and anyway, it apparently did more injury than just to our goddess golden voice!
Take this sentence to lie and relax, girl! We require to see you at 100% the future time you need to the stage, no matter how long that takes!
