Rolling In The Deep .

While fellow compatriot, Duffy, suffered the dreaded sophomore slump and is contemplating leaving music altogether, Adele is experiencing the complete opposite. Ever since her second album, "21" hit stores, it`s been doing robust business. On the Billboard 200 album chart, "21″ debuted at No. 1 and stayed on top for two weeks.

This week, it drops to the runner up slot, but still moving an impressive 133,000 units. With everything on radio being either hip hop or electro-pop, people are showing they are craving an artist without auto-tune effects and someone who creates music with real instruments.

In her native UK, Adele is also slaying the charts and yet more successful. "21″ scored the best opening week sales in over 5 days and has already passed the 1 billion mark. She`s topped the charts for 7 consecutive weeks, and just behind James Blunt`s "Back To Bedlam" (8 weeks) and The Beatles 1 retrospective which holds the current record at 9 weeks. She`s so big in the UK right now, her debut album, "19″ has crept up support to the Top 5, making her the first artist since The Beatles in 1964 to receive two titles simultaneously in the top 5 of both the U.K. singles and album charts.

Having listened to the album for several weeks now, I sure make my favorites. While the full album is fantastic, there are a match that I continually work on repeat. With Adele`s pure, soulful and powerful voice, every note pierces through all the way to my heart. Her head cut, "Rolling in the Deep", is so beautifully haunting. The way she is capable to relay rage into an infectious pop track is amazing. I know how the instruments build and coming to the chorus, where they have absolute magic.

My other favorite tracks include the report of The Cure`s "Lovesong" and "Set Fire to the Rain". The latter ballad is simply marvelous. You can find her emotion with each effortless note. The melancholic "Don`t You Think" is too another course I love. I`m a mark for a sad, yearning love song. Brian hates it when I turn this song. It`s too depressing for his taste. Having said that, I also love her more up-tempo offerings include "Rumour Has It" and "I`ll Be Waiting". The funky soul vibe of the latter takes you on a roller coaster of emotions and sounds.

Adele`s retro soul sound is music to my ears. Can`t get plenty of her. If you`re lucky enough to be in proximity to one of the cities she`s hitting this spring/summer, you give to check it out. I love I am. I`m sure watching her last will only heighten my appreciation for this young talented songstress. Adele Tour Dates
